There was a seven year gap between Autopsy's 2015 album Skull Grinder and their return in 2022 with Morbidity Triumphant. Looks like the wait might be a lot shorter this time around. According to Autopsy's Instagram, they've already begun recording a new record with Scott Evans that hopefully we'll hear this year.
"HUGE, SICK, BLOODY AUTOPSY NEWS!!!" wrote Autopsy. "Welp…we just finished recording the rhythm tracks for our new full length album at Sharkbite Studios with Scott Evans at the helm and the wild and insane forces of Death Fucking Metal ripping and roaring in our favor. We can already assure you that this record is Autopsy at its absolute vomit inducing best. Heads will rot, roll and explode!"
The new Autopsy record will be the band's second with bassist Greg Wilkinson (Brainoil, Static Abyss, etc.), who joined he band in 2021.
