High on Fire is currently working on their first new album since 2018's Electric Messiah and first-ever without drummer Des Kensel, who left the band in 2019.
Bassist Jeff Matz took to Instagram to reveal that High on Fire is hard at work on the new material, and that the band is working with drummer Chris Maggio (Wear Your Wounds, ex-Trap Them). Maggio has been High on Fire's live fill-in drummer since 2019 but has not been announced as an official member of the band.
