Carnival Is Forever will be the name of the fifth studio album for Decapitated, their Nuclear Blast debut due out this Summer. Interestingly, the lyrics and the title did not come directly from the band, but from an outside collaborator, Polish author Jarek Szubrycht, who claims to be the author of the first biography on Slayer. Here is the official word from guitarist Vogg:
"Carnival: war, rape, lies, pathology, evil displayed through certain events and situations of the latest years in the world. Is Forever – I guess it doesn't need explaining. Both in the text and the title, there is bitter irony. The author of the title and all lyrics is Jarek Szubrycht (Lex Occulta, author of No Mercy, the world’s first biography of thrash metal legends Slayer."
I can take it or leave it. Ultimately, it's just an album title. I just want to hear some new music already!
