Tonight is the first night of the annual Jewish tradition of Hanukkah, which any Adam Sandler fan knows lasts eight crazy nights. While Dave Grohl himself is not Jewish, the coolest motherfucker in rock's wife is actually Jewish (making his children Jewish by tradition) and Grohl wanted to do something fun for the holiday.
In a new video message, Grohl revealed he and producer Greg Kurstin recorded eight covers, all of which were performed by Jewish artists. Grohl announced: “With all the mishegas of 2020, Greg Kurstin & I were kibbitzing about how we could make Hannukah extra-special this year. Festival of Lights?! How about a festival of tasty LICKS! So hold on to your tuchuses… we’ve got something special coming for your shayna punims. L’chaim!!”
So break out the babkas because we should be hearing some music soon.
