I guess it really has been three years since Belphegor released Blood Magick Necromance, hasn't it? Time flies when you're enjoying music that kicks a substantial amount of ass. The band took to Facebook on Mar. 18 to announce they were finished with their newest offering, Conjuring the Dead, and the record would be out sometime in May (May 8 in Europe and May 11 in France and the U.K.). The album was recorded with Erik Rutan (Cannibal Corpse, Hate Eternal) at Mana Studios in Florida.
Vocalist and guitarist Helmuth had this to say about the record.
"The tenth full-length entitled Conjuring the Dead is tracked. For over two years we worked on the nine compositions. We got every arrangement to the highest audio potential, added a lot of new, haunting, and compelling structures/ rhythm parts and tritone intervals. We decided to record in the USA this time. The combination of European Metal's cold and sick elements crossed with an American brutal sound was the master plan. We're on fire! Expect more shredding, more magick, more of everything."
So yeah, spring is going to get pretty evil.
