Are you ready for September to get a little bit more melancholy? Amorphis will be releasing a new album titled Under The Red Cloud on September 4 via Nuclear Blast Records and, considering the band's track record for putting out increasingly good releases, this album should be fantastic.
The album was produced by the masterful hand of Jens Bogren and guitarist for the group Esa Holopainen explains the awesome-looking artwork a little bit more in depth.
"The album is titled 'Under The Red Cloud' and the artwork is done by Valnoir Mortasonge. Valnoir is well known from his works for Laiback, Paradise Lost, Watain, Behemoth and many more. It was a great pleasure to work with him as he [captured] the lyrical topics really well. Colors and details describe the music perfectly."
Holopainen also said the album is among his three favorite records the band has ever done, which is a pretty bold statement considering the group's extensive discography.
