After the Burial is currently at The Machine Shop with Will Putney, who you might know as the dude who produced bands like Thy Art Is Murder and The Acacia Strain, knocking out a new record! This is the first time After the Burial hasn't done their own album so we'll see how it all turns out. The group said of the new record-
“We’re really excited. We’ve never done anything like this before, but the vibe is good and we know Will has a great knowledge of what we’re going for as far as a sound. The songs came very naturally this time around, so recording live drums, guitars etc makes total sense. We can’t wait for you all to hear it.”
I'm not one of those "real drum" snobs, but in this case I'm excited the band is going that route. Wolves Within had my least favorite production of any After the Burial record, so we'll see how this all turns out!
After The Burial will be spending the summer on The Summer Slaughter tour. Get dates here.
