A BEHEMOTH Biography Is Coming Out Next Month

Behemoth: Devil's Conquistadors is coming out Feb. 24 via Metal Blade! According to a press release, the biography "serves as an in-depth look at the history of the events that materially influenced the band" and chronicles its rise to fame in Poland and, to a somewhat lesser extent, the rest of the world. The book is 490 pages and will include interviews with current and former band members, old photos of the band, flyers, lyric sheets, etc. Basically everything you would ever need to know about Behemoth!

Metal Blade dropped a little snippet of frontman and guitarist Nergal talking about his first guitar, which will appear in the book:

"The first communion was a very important moment for me. I know this sounds ridiculous, but it's true. Of course, not as a religion experience – I didn't understand anything and couldn't care less. Same as all the other kids. We all stood there with our votive candles and waited for one thing. Cash. The first communion must be one moment when you get the most money you're ever going to get as a child. And for this money, I bought myself my first electric guitar. Not a bike, no Legos – a guitar."

I like to imagine a small Nergal sitting in his room just shredding out some black metal, not even worried about attracting the opposite sex with the instrument (as most kids are wont to do with it). I wonder if this book will serve as the band's capstone and Behemoth will actually be no more after this year?
