Ever since I interviewed 3TEETH frontman Alexis Mincolla for the Squared Circle Pit wrestling podcast, I have been jamming his band's new album, <shutdown.exe>. Thanks for the advance, Alexis!
The album gives off vibes of mid-90s Nine Inch Nails and Marilyn Manson, while also offering something unique and new. Today, the band announced the album will be officially released May 19th via OMF Records. The band worked with producer Sean Beavan (Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, A Perfect Circle) and mastered by Howie Wienberg (Deftones, Nirvana, Pantera, Smashing Pumpkins, Soundgarden). The collaboration shows, as this album would fit right in in the late 90s, and I mean that in the best way possible.
Producer Sean Beavan put it best. "3TEETH are more than the sum of their influences. They are the sound of inevitability. A storm of rage and reason, man and machine, metal and bone.”
As for the concept of the album, frontman Alexis Mincolla says, “"The album centers around the idea of shutting down consensus reality tunnels, which is a way to describe the generally agreed-upon perspectives of what is considered real."
