Back in December, we reported on the rumor that Tool would be headlining Governors Ball 2017. It would be Tool's first New York show in over a decade, and maybe could possibly signify that the new album was done. Probably not, but we can dream, right?
Now it's been confirmed that Tool will indeed be headlining the festival, held between June 2 and 4 at Randall's Island Park. Outside Tool, there really isn't much in the way of heavier rock or metal, though you will be able to catch a set by Wu-Tang Clan! So that's another redeeming quality about the show, but yeah – it's not a heavy festival. Here's the entire lineup:
