The Sword went on hiatus in 2018 due to what guitarist Kyle Shutt said was frustration with the industry and low ticket sales. Then the band silently came off hiatus to join Primus on their upcoming Rush tribute tour with Wolfmother and Battles. The Sword isn't stopping there either, as they've now announced a handful of dates around the Primus tour with King Buffalo.
