Phil Anselmo keeps piling on the projects. He has a solo album in the works, his own record label, and now his own horror film festival. Anselmo just announced the Housecore Horror and Music Festival happening October 25-27th in Austin, TX at the Emo's complex.
Anslemo along with collaborator Corey Mitchell will be presenting this fest and have an open call to horror film makers to submit their pieces. There is a submission page where filmmakers can submit their film for review.
Two confirmed special guest film directors include Jörg Buttgereit ("Nekromantik", "Nekromantik 2", "Schramm") and revered do-it-yourself guerilla filmmaker Jim VanBebber ("The Manson Family", "Deadbeat At Dawn"). There will be more guests announced as the festival nears.
Seeing as though this is a horror AND music festival, Phil called upon some of his friends (and his own bands) putting together an awesome line up: Down, Crowbar and Phil's solo project, Philip H. Anselmo and The Illegals have all been confirmed with more to be added.
There will also be a "haunted corridor" that fans can walk through and other scary activities. All the info and ticketing can be found on the Housecore Horror Fest official website.
