A while back, Metal Injection sat down to talk to one of the organizers of the great Northwest Terror Fest. Joseph Schafer gave great insight into the ins and outs of the festival itself as well as what to expect and what he's excited about. Since that interview, there have been some shake-ups to the schedule, as one should expect.
Iskra, the Canadian blackened crust band, dropped off. In their stead is Richmond, Virginia's monolithic Inter Arma. The quintet is releasing a new album this year entitled Sulphur English—it's certain to be a standout record. Also dropping off were death metal duo, Our Place of Worship Is Silence and Brazil's Deaf Kids. In their place are Vouna, a phenomenal doom band from Olympia, Washington and the ridiculously heavy death metal of San Diego's Pathology.
Tickets are still available for Northwest Terror Fest, but going fast! Snag one now before regret takes hold. The festival takes place in Seattle, Washington on May 30 through June 1. Check out the updated flyer featuring all the performing bands as well. Leave no cross unturned.
