It may end up being the most profitable tour of the year.

Motley Crew Def Leppard

Motley Crue's big return tour with  Def LeppardPoison and Joan Jett is still months away, but it's already doing monster business, and may end up being the most profitable tour of the year.

According to a new report by Billboard, the tour has already grossed $130 million in sales, not even counting a whopping $5 million in VIP ticket sales, with up to 1 million tickets already sold. The reason so much money has been racked up? The prices for the tour are pretty intense. VIP tickets themselves cost $4,500 each! The cheapest tickets we could find direct were around $200. It's not cheap to see this tour, and the bands are cashing in.
