With all the money artists are making on their final tours, it didn't take long for KISS to try to cash in on the phenomena.
While they have been teasing an announcement for months, they made it official last night with a performance on America's Got Talent. Because that's the state of the music industry – the only place to make a massive announcement is a network TV talent show. Take a look:

The band released this statement to go along with it:
“All that we have built and all that we have conquered over the past four decades could never have happened without the millions of people worldwide who’ve filled clubs, arenas and stadiums over those years. This will be the ultimate celebration for those who’ve seen us and a last chance for those who haven’t. Kiss Army, we’re saying goodbye on our final tour with our biggest show yet and we’ll go out the same way we came in… Unapologetic and Unstoppable.”
Of course, those who were around during the turn of the century remember that KISS already pulled the farewell tour gimmick in 2000, except that iteration with with the actual Ace Frehley and Peter Criss. This farewell tour will be with two stand-ins.
No dates have been announced but you can expect this tour to run for years and years.
