I have yet to make it to a GWAR-B-Q, but it looks like this is the year for me to do it. The band will be holding the fourth annual party at Hadad's Water Park in Richmond, VA on Saturday, August 17th and have amassed quite the lineup.
The show will be headlined by GWAR, of course and also feature sets from Municipal Waste, Corrosion of Conformity, Pig Destroyer, Cannabis Corpse, Loincloth and Kung-Fu Dykes.
I have never heard of Kung-Fu Dykes but they are officially my new favorite band. More bands are scheduled to be announced in the coming weeks.
GWAR front-thing Oderus Urungus commented on the announcement saying:
"Once again we blow the horn of war and set into motion the gears that grind us towards the greatest GWAR-B-Q yet. We will not only be rockin' like Dokken and slippin' the cock in, but we will shoving a wealth of GWARproducts down your throat…not only our new GWAR-B-Q sauce, but our very own beer, Impaled Ale!
