When multi-platinum hard rockers Extreme debuted their single and video for "Rise" last March, it caused some sort of a cataclysmic event amongst lovers of the band – especially guitar aficionados, due to the fiery, Eddie Van Halen-infused, extended guitar solo from Nuno Bettencourt.
The single paved the way for the success of the band’s studio album Six – which landed at position No. 10 on Billboard's Top Album Sales chart with first-week sales of 12,500 copies – and propelled the tour that followed, with Living Colour as special guests. Following an impressive run of sold-out shows and high fan demand, the quartet will be back on the road in January for a set of another 21 dates through the States.
