When Disturbed frontman David Draiman was asked recently by Music Choice if rock was dead he responded:
"There's everybody in the world who is always trying, time and time again, to proclaim the death of rock, or hard rock and heavy metal. Not if I have anything to do with it, not if we have anything to do with it. And certainly our colleagues in the genre are making us proud as well — the guys in Korn, the guys in Five Finger, the guys in Volbeat, they're all doing an amazing job, and they're definitely carrying the torch. It's gonna be now up to us to kind of fan that flame a little bit."
You hear that? David Draiman will not let rock die! How, do you ask? Well besides their new album, Disturbed just announced a Spring 2016 North American tour. Spring is like a whopping three seasons away still, so they are planning far in advance:

What's notable about this tour to me is it seems as though the band is playing smaller venues than previous tour, perhaps to test the market, or perhaps because they fear they can't draw more than 1,000 a night. It should be interested to see if they can sell these venues out. There is certainly more than enough time to do so.
