Nik Turner, original vocalist, saxophonist, flautist for Hawkwind, has died at 82 years old. Turner was part of Hawkwind's original lineup in 1969 and played with the band until 1976, and then again between 1982 and 1984.

Turner also enjoyed a lengthy solo career over the decades and had his fair share of guest spots on other artist's records. In short, Turner was prolific through and through, and will be missed.
