Molly Hatchet vocalist Phil McCormack died on Saturday, April 27th. He was 58 years old. McCormack performed on five of the band's albums after replacing the band's classic singer, Danny Joe Brown in 1996.
The band offer this announcement on Facebook:
“It is with great sorrow to announce the passing of our friend and band member, Phil McCormack. Our condolences and prayers go out to his family during this time of loss. Phil’s contributions to Molly Hatchet were heard around the world. He will be missed but never forgotten.”
Blabbermouth reports a local radio station, 102.7 WSNR, had said the cause is believed to be a heart attack.
