This makes so, so much sense.

This makes so, so much sense.

Fantômas, consisting of Faith No More frontman Mike Patton, Melvins guitarist Buzz Osborne, Mr. Bungle bassist Trevor Dunn and former Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo, will be on the bill for the RockOut festival in Santiago, Chile on December 6!

The band has remained somewhat dormant over the past few years and released their last record in 2005, so this is very exciting news! It also makes a lot of sense considering Dave Lombardo isn't constantly touring with Slayer anymore and Mike Patton seems to be in the mood to bring back a lot of his old, kickass projects in a huge way. Not to mention Dunn is an unbelievably sick bassist and it'll be cool to see him get back with the group and Osbourne is just generally awesome being himself doing all the things he does.

Here's how I predict this to go- Fantômas plays, throws a few new songs in there just like Faith No More did, denies they're working on a new record and the spills the beans all at once. Which would be really, really awesome.
