> Seattle rockers HIMSA have signed a worldwide deal with Century Media Records. The band is currently writing their upcoming album, with no release date currently set. The band will be playing Century Media's Christmas show on December 13, at the Key Club in L.A. with IN THIS MOMENT and DREAM EVIL.
> Rhino Records will be releasing "BLACK SABBATH: The Dio Years." The disc will also include a few new songs recorded by the new formation of the band with Ronnie James Dio, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Vinny Appice. The band, who will be performing under the moniker of HEAVEN AND HELL have booked the Sweeden Rock Festival which takes place June 6th and 7th of 2007, and a New York date is expected to be announced soon.

> Death metallers NUERAXIS are currently in Montreal writing their new album. The process is still in it's early stages, however guitarist Rob Miley comments that the new tracks are "progressive and dynamic and at the same time we are making sure it will continue to be as vicious and brutal as ever."
> FEAR FACTORY have split with their current label Liquid 8 Records.
> I recently attended the New York stop of the Radio Rebellion Tour, and the comment of the night came from a fan during BLESS THE FALL's set, with the fan saying "I hope they play the song off their myspace page". THE SCENE LIVES!!!!!1!!11!
> OBITUARY are set to release their first live DVD, "Frozen Alive" on January 26th. The live footage was shot with 7 cameras at Stodola Club in Warsaw, Poland on August 24. In addition to live footage, the DVD will include interviews with members of the band, as well as the unreleased video for "On the Floor".
> Our friends in PSYOPUS will be putting out what is sure to be another sick record when they release "Our Puzzling Encounters" on February 22nd via Metal Blade. You can hear a track off the album on the band's MySpace page.

> ALARUM have announced their new drummer: Rob Berns. The band is currently in the studio writing for an upcoming release.
> Also, I had the opportunity to check out Chis Penne and Ben Weinman of the DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN play a low-key show last night with awesome ambient rockers ZOMBI. After their set, I spoke with Ben and he revealed the band is currently writing their new record with a release date planned for sometime in September. The album is said to have both heavy and mellow songs, and the heavy songs have been described to be a "step-up" from the bands' previous efforts.
