>DESPISED ICON need a new guitarist, here is what the band have to say about that and more:
Hey everyone, some great and bad news to report. First, we'll start off with the good. We have our first European tour finally confirmed in March and April with Unearh, JFAC and Daath. Should be an amazing tour. We want to thank Paul Conroy and everyone in the Unearth camp for hooking this up for us. Right before we leave, we'll be doing a bunch of Canadian and a few US dates if all goes to plan.
Next off, our guitar player, Yannick St. Amand will unfortunately be leaving the band to focus more on his family life. It's hard to see him go. We can't thank him enough for his contribution to this band and we'll always remember the good times we all had. We wish him the best with his wife and new born child. Yannick will now be a full time studio engineer and producer, with our new record being next in line for him. The recording starts January 2nd! Yannick will produce everything, then head over to the UK with Eric to hook up with Andy Sneap and oversee the mixing. Eric and Alex P. have worked hard writing most of this record and we're all stoked about it!
So this brings us to our next announcement. We're looking for a good guy/experienced guitarist that is ready to tour right away. To audition, learn "Bulletproof Scales" and "Warm Blooded". Click here for the tabs. Tape yourself playing the songs, upload the footage and send us a link to your video at [email protected].
>DAATH will be releasing their ROADRUNNER RECORDS debut "The Hinders" on Feburary 27th.
>SIX FEET UNDER are entering the final stages in the mixing mode. Here is what the band had to say about it on their official website:
We would like to thank all of our fans, worldwide, for a great year, and wish you all a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year. We are currently in the final stages of mixing the new cd, and it's turning out killer. The release date on the new cd is early spring. See you soon!!!

>Jamey Jasta has posted an update on his official myspace page concerning his projects and endeavours:
First of all, Happy Holidays to all of you and thank you for all of your support in 2006 and through out the years. All the best to you and yours in 2007. I have been VERY fortunate this year and I really do appreciate the amount of positive feedback I have gotten on this profile. I try to write everyone back but it gets hard and is very time-consuming. Please forgive me if I haven't responded to you yet.
For those of you who have shared your personal stories of triumph over adversity, thank you. I've put a lot of negative stuff behind me over the last 2 and 1/2 years and I cannot express how liberating and amazing it has been to do so. I've been lucky enough put out two albums this year, ICEPICK and HATEBREED. I've pretty much finished the KINGDOM OF SORROW album [collaboration with DOWN/CROWBAR guitarist Kirk Windstein] and I will hopefully have that out by April '07. I've also released the new FULL BLOWN CHAOS album on my label Stillborn Records that I am very proud of and I've renewed my contract as host of 'Headbanger's Ball' on MTV2 where I have been able to make a positive change in the world of aggressive music by being able to help expose so many great bands. All this stuff has been made possible by people like yourselves who have supported me and built me up to a place where I can give back and make a difference. So thanks again everyone. Here is a great quote I read from Dr. Seuss… 'Be yourself…Those that mind don't matter and those that matter don't mind.
Hopefully I will see some of you at Stillborn Fest in D.C., Philly, NYC, Buffalo and New Haven, CT! Tickets are available to all shows! We will be doing a VERY special and DIFFERENT SET each night so do NOT miss these shows! SPREAD THE WORD.
You can hear two tracks from KINGDOM OF SORROW by going here.
>Since leaving HATE ETERNAL earlier this year, the status of Derrick Roddy has been virtually unknown, until now. The extreme drummer has announced he will be now apart of TODAY IS THE DAY. Roddy's debut with the band will be heard on the bands up coming release "Axis of Eden" which will be released in 2007.
