Vancouver Death Metal Force AUROCH Announces New Album, Mute Books

Auroch has been popping up on the radar quite frequently in 2016 so far. The Vancouver-based Death Metal band saw their 2012 album, From Forgotten Worlds re-released through 20 Buck Spin and recently released a destructive split with Mitochondrion (with whom they share a couple members with) entitled In Cronian Hour through Dark Descent Records. The trio also has a series of festival dates including Migration Fest in Olympia, Washington from August 12-14. Auroch's rolling through 2016 with a head of steam, and today Profound Lore Records and the band announced their third full length album, Mute BooksAuroch's most devastating offering yet.

The group initially hinted at the album at the beginning of July, sharing that the album had been completed. Now it is officially known that Mute Books will be released October 21. The album is being mixed and mastered by Arthur Rizk, who had a hand in albums by PrurientInquisition, and Pissgrave. The artwork was completed by Cold Poison Design. Interesting to note, the album will feature the artwork in different aspects depending on the release format. This will be the second album that Auroch has released through Profound Lore.
