This year's Wacken Open Air featured the likes of Danzig, Judas Priest, Hatebreed, In Flames, Running Wild, Arch Enemy, and two elderly gentlemen in a nursing home weren't missing it. According to the Deutsche Welle, the two men escaped the home on Friday and were found at 3 in the morning at the festival "disoriented and dazed."
Police spokeswoman Merle Neufeld said they were clearly fans.
"They obviously liked the metal festival," police spokeswoman Merle Neufeld told public broadcaster Norddeutscher Rundfunk. "The care home quickly organized a return transport after police picked them up."
Both men were returned safely to their nursing home, which joking aside is the best part of the story. Sounds like the duo needs some escorts and two free tickets to Wacken Open Air 2019.
