TOOL Puts "No Pee Zone" Sign On Stage For BRASS AGAINST Vocalist

Given last year's events.

Tool kicked off their European tour with Brass Against on April 23 at the Royal Arena in Copenhagen, and had a special message for Brass Against vocalist Sophie Urista – please don't pee on the stage. Or as the sign reads, "NO PEE ZONE. No Urine Is To Be Deposited, Placed, Distributed, Sprinkled, Poured And/or Spread In This Immediate Area." Given Tool's overall tour antics, I'd be willing to bet this was just a joke (and Urista clearly took it well given she posted it on Twitter).

For those unaware, Brass Against made headlines for their 2021 Welcome To Rockville performance when vocalist Sophie Urista peed on a fan's face on stage. Urista kept saying she really had to use the bathroom, and one willing participant got up on stage and… took it. The band has since apologized and police were also investigating Urista to make sure nothing illegal happened.

Urista also issued her own apology, saying it's not who the band is.

“Hey everyone. I want to speak to my performance at Rockville metal festival in Daytona. I have always pushed the limits in music and onstage. That night, I pushed the limits too far.

"I love my family, the band, and the fans more than anything and I know some were hurt or offended by what I did. I apologize to them and want them to know that I didn’t mean to hurt them.

"I am not a shock artist. I always want to put the music first. I'm grateful for all of your continued love and support."

Unfortunately, NASCAR spokesperson Ruyssell Branham also issued a statement at the time saying that Brass Against is banned from any future performances at NASCAR venues.

"Daytona International Speedway doesn't condone the inappropriate actions that took place during Thursday's Welcome to Rockville event. We are working with promoter Danny Wimmer Presents to address the issue. The band will not be included in future programming at NASCAR venues."
