Alice In Chains' "Man In The Box" was released in 1990. Since then, the band has achieved a very high level of success, though that hasn't been without its tragedies. Now in 2016, one fan has taken to Change.org to petition that the song become the American national anthem.
The petition currently has 44 of the 100 needed signatures, and literally only offers one explanation throughout – "Change the US National Anthem to 'Man in the Box' by Alice in Chains." Maybe it'll be one of the last acts Barack Obama executes while in office? We'll see… though I'm thinking the answer may very well be a resounding "no."
