SUICIDE SILENCE First Signing To Monte Connor's Nuclear Blast Entertainment

Suicide Silence just issued a statement that they have signed a new record deal with Nuclear Blast Entertainment. You may recall this is a new offshoot label for Nuclear Blast, co-owned by former Roadrunner A&R guru Monte Connor. This is the first band signing announcement. The band completed their deal with Century Media with last year's release of The Black Crown. Needless to say, the band is pumped. Here is what they had to say:

"I and all of Suicide Silence are proud to announce that we have signed a worldwide deal with the one and only Nuclear Blast. It wasn't a tough decision, Nuclear Blast has been a huge part of heavy metal for decades and we couldn't be happier. This is a new beginning for us and we're ready as all hell! Let Chapter 2 begin now!"

"I am beyond stoked to be signing to the sickest of all heavy metal record labels," continues Dan Kenny. "It has been a dream of mine since I was a youngster with Nuclear Blast posters on my bedroom wall"

The label is coming out of the gate swinging. Regardless of your opinion of Suicide Silence, the band sells records, a rarity nowadays and is a huge signing. Congratulations to all parties. I spoke to Mark not too long ago, and he said the band is already very much in writing mode for new music. We can expect some new music from the band sometime next year.
