Soulfly's Savages is officially released early next week (October 1st here in the states) but that doesn't mean you have to wait until then to hear the new album. It's streaming in full right now!
There are definitely some standout tracks on this album, namely the first two tracks, "Bloodshed" and "Cannibal Holocaust" as well as the sort-of title track "Master of Savagery."
I can't believe Max wrote a song called "Ayatollah of Rock 'N' Rolla" and didn't ask Chris Jericho of Fozzy to guest on the track, seeing as though that's sort of his thing.
Max doesn't shy away from a little nü-metal flare with tracks like "Spiral" and "Soulfliktion." But overall, I think this is a solid release in the Soulfly cannon.
