It's been six years since the debut album from Split Cranium, but they're back! The band currently consists of guitarist and vocalist Aaron Turner (SUMAC, Old Man Gloom), guitarist Jussi Lehtisalo (Circle), keyboardist and vocalist Faith Coloccia (Mamiffer, Mara), bassist Nate Newton (Converge, Doomriders), and drummer Tomi Leppänen (Circle, K-X-P), and will release their new album I'm The Devil And I'm OK on May 25.
In true Aaron Turner fashion, he says the new material is a little complicated, but still accessible.
"We wanted to make a record that was less straightforward than the first one. Jussi loves melody and I love dissonance and noise, so that is probably the healthy creative contrast that made this record what it is."
Check out a very accurate summation of the above statement below and pre-order I'm The Devil And I'm OK here. Oh, and if you haven't heard the band's 2012 debut album, you should really do that here. It's definitely straightforward, but it's still awesome.
