What Is PORCUPINE TREE Teasing?

They've got a mysterious new profile picture, hashtag, and link.

porcupine-tree

Porcupine Tree broke up in 2010 and has not yet reunited for anything, even a one-off show. In recent years, vocalist and guitarist Steven Wilson began incorporating some Porcupine Tree music into his live shows and even reworking the band's classic "Lazarus" for his 2015 compilation Transience.

Then in 2020, Porcupine Tree made a Bandcamp and started posting unreleased live albums and rarities. Even as recently as February of this year, Wilson said in an interview with Profil Prog that there's a possibility Porcupine Tree could get back together eventually.

"What I always say to people is, 'When you least expect me to do something, that's probably when I'll do it. I've always said Porcupine Tree, I can imagine we'll probably make another record one day. I don't know when. We'll probably do it at the moment everyone's least expecting it."

This leads us up to today when Porcupine Tree changed their profile picture to the below white square in front of some black and white image. There's a link to follow the band on Spotify alongside the hashtag #PTCC, which of course is a mystery (aside from the PT). So what is it? Who knows! Stay tuned and get at least a little cautiously excited!
