React365, a site where anybody can create a fake news story, has a fake story up about Rob Halford that seems to have caught the attention of many people. The post is also illegaly using a Metal Injection photo, shot by our photographer Rodrigo Fredes.
As of this writing, the story has over 43,000 shares on Facebook – but it is completely untrue. The story claims Halford was found unresponsive in his San Diego home with opiates found nearby. But Halford doesn't even live in San Diego.
Loudwire reached out to Halford's reps, who put a kibosh on the story. Halford offered this note: "Horrible for our fans. Please let everyone know I'm in Phoenix packing my bags for Knotfest and can't wait to see our metal maniacs!"
Halford is talking about Knotfest Columbia, which goes down this weekend. Judas Priest are currently in the midst of a touring cycle for their new album, Firepower.
