This better not be true, but there are some serious signs pointing to the fact that Devourment might be in some trouble right now… which will make yet another great band that's bitten the dust! Say it ain't so!
I'll be the first to say it; it ain't necessarily so, though they are dropping off the upcoming Dying Fetus tour for sure at the very least. In a post on the Devourment forums by the band's singer Mike Majewski:
In case anyone hasnt heard, we had to back out of this tour. Im waiting for relapse to announce it before I make an official statement as to what is going on. We cancelled over 2 months ago, I have no idea why pantheon and relapse are taking so long to announce, but what do I know?
Interesting to hear that there was no official announcement about this. Apparently, other bands have known this and have even called Devourment out on the possibility of breaking up, so only time will tell at this point.
We'll be posting more as we know what's going on, since this is only a rumor at this point and nothing more. One source also pointed out that the band were supposed to play in Texas this September 28 (tour poster), and now… not so much. Hell this even goes back as far as April when they announced they'd not be playing the Las Vegas Deathfest.
All I have to say is, Devourment, if you're reading this, don't bail on us. You're awesome.
