After a pretty illustrious career spawned off one ridiculous vocal performance that never seemed to get out of our collective consciousness, Disturbed called it quits in 2011. Since then the members of the group have gone on to do a multitude of things and, outside the one reassurance that the group will come back eventually from vocalist David Draiman, there's really never much talk about a reunion.
So it was a little strange to see Blabbermouth posting about a rumor floating around that Disturbed is currently working on a new album right now with producer Kevin Churko. Blabbermouth points out that Churko had helmed other radio metal acts like In This Moment and Five Finger Death Punch in recent years, making the insinuation that it would be a reasonable choice by Disturbed to choose him.
The rumor is "at least some of the recording sessions are taking place at Churko's The Hideout Recording Studio in Las Vegas" pending the rumor mill is accurate. No word on where this information came from either, but according to our very own Rob Pasbani, Blabbermouth's rumor mill is generally pretty accurate. So we'll see.
Is anybody stoked? At the very least I'm going to check out the new digs.
