There were some interesting developments over the weekend in regards to the Mayhem Festival. The tour released this new teaser video hyping their official announcement on March 18th:
In the interest of full disclosure, we must say that Metal Injection is an official media sponsor of this year's Mayhem Fest. With that said, we have not been informed as of yet of the current lineup.
That being said, a few interesting names shared the above video. Those bands are Amon Amarth, Job For A Cowboy and Battlecross. Take a look at these screenshots of their recent Facebook postings:
I would say it's safe to say all three bands will be on Mayhem Fest this summer. The evidence is right there. Also, throw in Behemoth, who said they were all but set, and so far this is a pretty monster second stage lineup.
Being on Mayhem Fest is quite the experience not just for the fans, but for the bands themselves. We got a behind the scenes look at what a band's day is life when As I Lay Dying let us follow them around for an entire day. Watch that video right here.
