Babymetal ended their January 29 show at the Makuhari Messe with an interesting tease that haven't haven't gotten an answer for just yet. During the January 28, Babymetal ended with both Su-metal and Moametal walking toward two coffins at the back of the stage. Then on January 29, a third coffin appeared with a third currently-unidentified member walking toward it.
Could the third member potentially be a replacement for Yuimetal, who left the group in 2018? The short answer is "maybe." One common theory on the Babymetal Reddit is that the third member will be Momoko Okazaki. Okazaki has been a backup dancer for the group since 2019 and was a part of the Japanese idol girl group Sakura Gakuin.
Babymetal also has a new record called The Other One due out March 24. And while this theory seems a little silly, maybe The Other One is a direct reference to another member of the band that has yet to be revealed?
Babymetal has two shows scheduled for Fox Day, April 1 and 2, at the Pia Arena MM in the Kanagawa Prefecture called BABYMETAL BEGINS – THE OTHER ONE –. So who knows – maybe we'll find out more then.
