Well now that the rumors of Guns N Roses "reuniting" have come to fruition, it's time for a whole new GNR rumor mill, this one focusing on a new material.
Classic Rock spoke to former Guns N Roses publicist Arlett Vereecke who said Slash is in the studio working on new material that's definitely for Guns:
"I know they’re doing some recording. They’re definitely doing something there in the studio. Axl hasn’t been there, but Slash is definitely in there and it’s not for anyone else."
Classic Rock also reports that former Guns N Roses manager Alan Niven suggests that bassist Duff McKagan and guitarist Izzy Stradlin have been working together saying:
“Duff and Izzy were in the studio before Christmas doing stuff. At a casual glance I think they’ve got at least a couple of tracks down."
Interestingly enough, Vereecke also claims that when the band reunites to play new shows in April, they will indeed be including material from 2008's Chinese Democracy, which of course did not feature Slash, Duff or Izzy on the recordings.
Naturally, such news is to be taken with a grain of salt until somebody actually in the band confirms it, although so far, all of the rumors surrounding this camp end up being true, so who knows?
