Blue Ridge Rock Festival 2022 saw reunion shows from Mudvayne, God Forbid, Kittie, and Shadows Fall (not their first reunion shows, but still). Now it seems they're taking that angle once again for their 2023 edition by announcing Taproot as the first band. The festival will be Taproot's first show since their 2017 tour celebrating their 20th anniversary.
No other artists have yet been announced. Blue Ridge Rock Festival 2023 will take place between September 7 and 10, with early tickets available here. And if you don't think you know Taproot, yes you do.
"We are stoked to announce that Taproot will be reuniting at Blue Ridge Rock Festival 2023!" said festival organizers via Instagram. "The Nu-Metal outfit has not toured since 2013, but will return to the Stage for 1 Night Only at Blue Ridge 2023. Taproot first broke out in the early 2000s with Gold-certified records 'Gift' and 'Welcome,' as well as back to back Ozzfest Tours.
"This is the first of several reunions and special performances already ontap in our 2023 Lineup. Aside from all of the artists you have voted for, we are working hard to deliver you reunions and album plays that you would not normally have the chance to experience. Have a reunion or album set idea? Let us know in the Comments!"
