Dogstar, the band featurig world renown actor and overall good dude Keanu Reeves, is back! The band originally existed between 1991 and 2002, and according to their Instagram has returned with some brand new plans in 2023

"Last set up on the roof in Lincoln Heights for Dogstar photo shoot," said the band in their original post. "Exciting news coming soon. Thanks for being so patient."

Dogstar originally mentioned they were back with the above brief post, but later elaborated on what they're up to in a comment thanks to a pretty massive fan response.

"Thank you everyone for the kind comments," wrote Dogstar. "We are overjoyed to see such a response! Honestly, didn't expect this. It makes use want to play out even more. We will be rolling out some new music this summer, followed by some gigs. As soon as it's all figured out we will let everyone know immediately. So much to do, but rest assured, we are on it and have assembled a fantastic team that are helping us.

"We are also going to make a music video to support our first tune. That's all I can say now. Can't wait to share our new music with everyone. It's the most satisfying and meaningful batch of songs we've ever done. Thanks again for being so patient with us. We truly have the best, most loyal fans!"

It's worth noting that Dogstar didn't just gain fame thanks to Reeves' career after they broke up. Dogstar once opened a David Bowie show in 1995, Bon Jovi for a tour, and even played Glastonbury Festival and the original incarnation of Milwaukee Metal Festival. If you're unfamiliar, check out Dogstar playing on Jay Leno below. It's very '90s. You can also watch their Milwaukee Metal Festival appearance, which did not go well.
