Finnish gothic metallers For My Pain… have announced their comeback roughly 20 years after their debut album Fallen turned heads with its haunting melodies and captivating atmosphere.

For My Pain… is now founding members bassist Altti Veteläinen (Eternal Tears Of Sorrow, ex-Kalmah) and guitarist Lauri Tuohimaa (ex-Maple Cross) alongside vocalist Juha Kylmänen, guitarist Olli-Pekka Törrö (ex-Andromeda, ex-Eternal Tears Of Sorrow), drummer Ari-Matti Pohjola, and keyboardist Marco Sneck (Afterworld, The Man-Eating Tree).

The band's original lineup also featured Tuomas Holopainen (Nightwish) on keyboards and Petri Sankala (ex-Eternal Tears of Sorrow, ex-Kalmah) on drums, while their 2003 debut was met with critical acclaim and earned them a dedicated following within the gothic metal scene. However, their trajectory was cut short after the release of the Killing Romance EP in 2004, as the band went silent in 2005.

But the silence, as it turns out, was not a sign of an end. For My Pain… is now back, and apparently, they haven't been completely idle during the last two decades. Kylmänen reveals: “The original atmosphere, which made leaves wither from the trees, is here again. Are you ready for the beautiful world with black and grey tones only?”

This reunion isn't just about new music. For My Pain… is also planning a tour, with their official comeback show scheduled for May 3 at Kantakrouvi in Oulu, Finland.
