Ozzfest generally features artists like Deftones, Orange Goblin, Children Of Bodom, and Kreator. OZY Fest bills itself as a "TED meets Coachella"-type of ordeal and features Jason Derulo, Samantha Bee, Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, and Talib Kweli. Despite these glaringly massive differences in what the festivals entail, Ozzfest organizers are suing OZY Fest over name similarities.
According to TMZ, Ozzfest organizers sent OZY Fest a cease and desist letter that went unanswered by OZY Fest's people, who claims that the two festivals aren't remotely similar, that OZY Fest is a "media-focused event" and would probably not be confused for one another. Ozzfest is currently suing to stop OZY Fest from using the name again in 2018, and for proceeds from the 2017 edition held in July.
Ozzfest Meets Knotfest will be held on November 4 and 5 November 4 and 5 at the Glen Helen Amphitheater and Festival Grounds in California.
