After 5 years of silence, Obituary made its return in 2014 with Inked In Blood. The record got some mixed reviews, though for what it's worth I thought it was a pretty cool slice o' death metal. While I wouldn't venture to say that we'll definitely be getting a new album from the band in 2016, it certainly looks like one is coming in 2017 at the very least.
The band is currently holed up in the studio, making some presumably sweet death metal… and really, really slow.
