We've been discussing whether or not rock is dead even since Gene Simmons pronounced it dead in September 2014 in an interview with Rolling Stone. Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor tells  101WKQX that maybe rock bands in 2017 are a little out of fashion, but he doesn't give a shit. Reznor also alludes to the fact that Nine Inch Nails, a rock band, is selling tickets no problem these days.

The question here might also be how younger bands are doing though. Fashionable or not, people will pretty much always see Nine Inch Nails until Reznor calls it quits. But what about the younger bands? Are Ghost always going to sell incredibly well? Will people still flock to see Avenged Sevenfold in the coming years?
