NILE's KARL SANDERS Has Some High Praise For SEPTICFLESH

"Septicflesh are, for me, the pinnacle of symphonic death metal."

Septicflesh rules. Their compositional prowess is some of the best in symphonic metal, and their music is just so insanely heavy that I'm not really sure how anyone could not love it. But don't take my word for it – take Nile frontman Karl Sanders' word.

In an interview with Revolver, Sanders called Septicflesh the "pinnacle of symphonic death metal" before praising their 2020 live DVD Infernus Sinfonica MMXIX as an "unequaled achievement." So it's pretty safe to say Karl Sanders is a huge Septicflesh fan.

"Septicflesh are, for me, the pinnacle of symphonic death metal. I like the live 'Anubis' taken from their Infernus Sinfonica MMXIX DVD. Recorded at the Metropolitan Theatre in Mexico City, the whole DVD is an unequaled achievement.

"I have been a Septicflesh fan ever since the early days when they were on Holy Records, and I fucking loved their album The Great Mass. They have done quite a bit with Greek mythology, and several times touched on Egyptian mythos, as well — which tracks, because there was quite a bit of cross-cultural connection between the Ancient Greeks and the Ancient Egyptians."

Nile is hitting the road in 2025 with the ever-elusive Six Feet Under as their co-headliners. The tour begins January 7, 2025 in Nashville, TN and will feature support from Psycroptic and Embryonic Autopsy. Get your tickets here.
