Nergal Says His Folk Project Made Him Want To Do More BEHEMOTH Music

Behemoth frontman is currently fleshing out his very non-Behemoth folk project, Me And That Man, and it really couldn't be more different than what he's known for. Me and That Man’s Songs of Love and Death will be out March 24, though even before that promotional cycle has run its course, Nergal tells Metal Hammer that he's working on both a new Behemoth album and a Behemoth live album.

At the very least, we know that the live album is very likely to be coming out this year, and that new Behemoth may be very post-punk!

"We’re in writing mode and I’ve been really creative lately. Once I did Me And That Man, I came back with a great hunger to make new music for Behemoth.

"It’s a little different. On one hand, where we stopped with The Satanist I take it from that place, but I’m developing. There’s new sounds and there’s new flavour I’m incorporating in these new songs. It’s exciting. We’ve got a few songs started, some are finished – but we’re not rushing. We want to make sure everyone is on the same page, everyone is happy with the process and we are comfortable with everything that comes out.”

It doesn't sound like we're getting a new Behemoth album this year, though Behemoth not rushing its new material has pretty much always paid off in the past… so why complain and be impatient?
