More Rumors Surface Of A New AC/DC Album With Axl Rose As The Frontman

So says Rose Tattoo frontman Gary "Angry" Anderson.

The last AC/DC album was Rock Or Bust in 2014, which still featured vocalist Brian Johnson and drummer Phil Rudd, and was unfortunately the last with rhythm guitarist Malcolm Young who passed away in 2017. Since then, Rudd has been replaced by ex-drummer Chris Slade, Malcolm Young's nephew Stephen Young has stepped in, and Guns N' Roses frontman Axl Rose has taken Johnson's place.

AC/DC has toured with Rose on vocals since 2016, but recently the band's biographer Murray Engleheart said the band "will continue with Axl on vocals – new album, touring, the whole nine yards." Now in a new report by The Rock Pit, Rose Tattoo frontman Gary "Angry" Anderson says he spoke to guitarist Angus Young earlier last year, who confirmed that yes – there's a new album coming.

"I was talking to Angus earlier last year when we were opening for Guns N’ Roses – Angus and I were asked to do the encores and I said to him, ‘What are you going to do?’ and he said, ‘Mate I’m writing a new album.’ I thought, ‘Cool,’ so I asked him who was in the band and he said, 'Axl.'"

My only question about this is when they'll record. Axl Rose is still out on the road with Guns N' Roses for their reunion tour and it's making an unreal amount of money. So I can't imagine he'll put the brakes on that astronomical paycheck just to go record an album anytime soon.
