Stanford University and Cambridge University’s Psychometrics Centre recently teamed up to study people's digital footprint and how the people who leave them's personalities are.
The study employed information from a 100-question Facebook app called myPersonality and what people like on Facebook, because Facebook is a super great place to mine people's data lately (and always).
According to NME, this revealed some pretty interesting traits of certain people who have certain musical tastes. Here are the results!
- Bring Me The Horizon and Escape The Fate fans are likely to not be too terribly conscientious, and neurotic alongside Marilyn Manson fans.
- Nightwish fans are some the least extroverted fans in music.
- The “least agreeable” people were found to enjoy Marilyn Manson, Rammstein and Judas Priest are generally pretty disagreeable. Manson and Rammstein fans I get, but Priest fans? Really?
- For the record, Björk and Tom Waits are the most agreeable fans.
