MARK TREMONTI Names The CREED Song He Wants To Start Playing Live

It's not a classic track.

Creed Reunited 2023

Creed is back in 2024 with an extensive touring schedule and maybe some new material at some point. In a recent interview with Ultimate Guitar, Creed guitarist Mark Tremonti revealed that he'd love it if the band would start playing "Time" from the 2009 album Full Circle. Tremonti notes Full Circle isn't exactly as well-loved as their classic material, and that Creed is hoping to get it in front of more people this time around.

"Yeah, we talked about maybe doing 'Ode' from the first record. I know a lot of people have requested 'Stand Here With Me' and 'Hide.' Our favorite song is 'Time' from the Full Circle record. I think that record was underserved, and we want to get people more familiar with it. So we'll start playing more of those tunes, and you never know, we'll probably try to play as much as we possibly can in the next year, maybe every song we've ever put on record."

Full Circle is Creed's least touched-upon album live, and "Time" has only been played 18 times total. On the song itself, Tremonti elaborated on why it's his favorite.

"Just the mood it sets, and it's got some of my favorite guitar work in that song. The tuning is in Open G Minor, which I've had a lot of great moments with. I wrote the music for 'Words Darker Than Their Wings' with Alter Bridge and that tuning and a song off my new Tremonti record. There are a lot of great chord voicings in that tuning and a lot of great open-string chord voicings you wouldn't necessarily get in any other tuning. I just love it."

Creed has an insane amount of tour dates coming up for the rest of the year. Tickets are available here.
