MACHINE HEAD Recruited WARBRINGER Drummer For New Song "Do Or Die"

MACHINE HEAD Streams Re-Recorded Version Of "Death Church"

Machine Head is expected to reveal a North American leg of its Burn My Eyes anniversary tour in September, and alongside that announcement will come a new song "Do Or Die". According to vocalist and guitarist Robb Flynn in a recent Facebook Live video, the song has been tracked since December 2018 and he's "been waiting to fucking drop it with these fucking dates."

The song will feature Warbringer drummer Carlos Cruz, who you might also know as Power Trip's live drummer.

“There’s not gonna be an album; there’s just gonna be a steady stream of standalone tracks that are consistently released. And then eventually they may or may not end up on an album. But we’re mixing it up. We wanna do this new model where we can put stuff out faster and get new music out quicker to the die-hards.

We wanna have this ability to not just have an album come out every three years, which is what we’ve been doing — every four years sometimes — and just make it quicker and more consistent and more like a regular thing. I don’t know what it’s gonna be, but I’m definitely excited about it. I’m excited for you guys to hear this new shit.”

The Burn My Eyes tour will feature that era's drummer Chris Kontos and guitarist Logan Mader. Neither one, as well as Cruz, are officially members of the band. Machine Head has still not replaced guitarist Phil Demmel or drummer Dave McClain, both of whom left the band in 2018.
