Leviathan's Jef Whitehead has had a shitty few years recently. He was accused of sexual assault with tattoo equipment, and it was so nasty that it made our list of Top 10 Worst Black Metal Crimes of all time. It was initially reported that he assaulted a female with a tattoo gun but it turns out it was ink caps that were about the size of a quarter. Earlier this week, he was acquitted of those chargers, and 27 other charges of a 34-count indictment, which is good news for him. From The Chicago Reader:
According to a spokesperson for the Cook County state’s attorney, Whitehead could have served three to seven years for the one charge of which he was convicted; that’s certainly a serious sentence, but nothing compared to what the initial charges could’ve brought. “The minimum mandatory sentence is enough that a man of Jef’s age would have died in prison,” says Whitehead’s defense attorney, Joel A. Brodsky.
Looks like a lot of the claims where made by a woman who might not have been the sanest, or he might've just had a really good lawyer? What do you think?
